We were so excited to spend a sunny afternoon browsing all the amazing vendors at Nue Market held at Space15Twenty in Hollywood. Nue Market was born out of a need for an experiential platform where emerging artists and designers can connect with the community and showcase their work. The pop-up shop is the perfect way to discover handmade objects + artisanal goods. Vendors curated by the founders include Jen E Ceramics, Young x Able from NYC, Androgyny Design and more! The full roster of designers can be found on their website.

In addition to the pop-up shop, Nue Market partnered with Ji Kim of Blooms in the Air for a two-day DIY station where market attendees were able to learn how to create beautiful paper flowers. Additionally, Rebecca Buenik taught a macrame workshop (of which we had a giveaway!) and Karla AguiƱiga taught a workshop on how to create natural ointments and salves from local plants.
To help attendees beat the heat, Nue Market partnered with locally crafted and uber delicious kombucha brand Health-Ade. Kind Snacks was also there to deliver goodies during the two-day market. Yumminess all around!
About the Founders:
Nue Market is a collaboration between Melanie Abrantes, Chris Fong and Eileen Lee. Melanie and Chris met while attending school at Otis College of Art & Design, studying product design under artist Tanya Aguniga. Eileen and Melanie met and became fast friends while working together at Karen Kimmel Studios and Crafting Community.
